The award winners database allows you to search for Institution Award- Winning Books for young readers.  This search feature will show you the number of literary honors awarded in a particular year and for a specific category of children's literature from the early reader to young adult.  Use the Institution Awards search as a library media center tool for showcasing winners of specific literary awards.  Books that won awards from the beginning of the awards program until 1989 are included in the database if they won two or more awards;  all award-winning books since 1990 are included.  In most cases, honorees are also included.  Full details are provided for each award when you access the award by award title.  Links are provided where available to the awards sites to access a complete history of the awards program.  Note:  Numerous institution choice awards programs were initiated after 1990.
